THE FIRM

We advise and coach leaders to lead the present and shape the future: strong today, ready for what's next.

Morris Consulting Group is an executive advisory and coaching practice. We work with decision makers on the questions that decide the direction of an enterprise: performance, resilience, and the succession of leadership.

We believe the people leading an enterprise, and the potential of the people they lead, are its most consequential resource. Our work is organized around that belief, and it requires deliberate interaction with leaders at every level responsible for turning the strategy into reality. We work with executive teams and boards on operationalizing the HR function so it delivers what the enterprise actually requires: leaders and teams equipped to produce the results the strategy assumes.

Our engagements are private and unhurried. We are retained not for volume but for judgment: a considered second read on the decisions that matter most, offered by advisors who understand the weight of leadership.

ADVISORY

Four practices, one architecture.

We work across four related practices, each grounded in the same belief: performance and leadership are inseparable.

Executive & Board Advisory

We advise chief executives and boards on the decisions that set an enterprise's direction — performance, governance, and the succession of leadership. The counsel is private and delivered by the partners themselves.

Leader & Organization Development

We coach and develop leaders, their teams, and the organizations around them. This is the human side of performance: the depth an enterprise relies on to carry out its strategy.

Community & Regional Banking Support

We provide independent director service and board counsel to US community and regional banks, meeting the fiduciary and regulatory demands these boards carry.

Athletic Advising

We work with educational institutions, and with families directly, on the whole-person development of student-athletes: the transitions they face, the pressures they carry, and the culture that shapes them.

THE FOUNDER

Sheldon Morris

Founder & Senior Partner

His advisory work began in 2017 by word of mouth, and grew, on demand, into the firm as it operates today.

He served twenty-two years as a U.S. Army officer, retiring at the rank of Colonel, and has since held senior executive roles across enterprises in the private and social sectors, including engagements with startup founders and the banking industry.

He understands the weight of leadership from carrying it himself, in uniform and out of it, and it is that perspective that shapes the firm's advisory work.

Engagements begin with a private conversation. If the questions before your enterprise warrant a considered outside read, we would be glad to hear from you.
